Still a work in progress. The first attempt at this was very standard and straight like any other website, and it seemed to be missing a certain something. Then I remembered that it's a comic; comics should be wacky—so I started adding wavy lines. Then I discovered I liked how the shadow under the comic looked solid, and immediately got inspired to do the whole thing kind of like a space-age brochure. That last part was what really pulled it all together, I think.

EDIT: I made some changes, mainly to the top-level navigation; I think it's a lot closer to what I was going for in the first place.

Ooh, this is great. Simple, but sleek and very nice to look at. The waves are definitely a great idea.

I'd agree though, the navbar definitely is lacking something. I'd suggest maybe arching the letters a bit, to keep them in line with the wave theme. You could also try adding little dots between each item to further liven it up. Yellow might seem like a good colour. Or maybe add something above the navbar. A sort of symbol maybe, like an exclamation mark or asterisk for example. A character might make it look too cluttered though.

Another suggestion is to maybe try and see if you could place another character art somewhere. More specifically, on the edge of the main content frame and the background, "breaking" the traditional division of the site design and making it more lively. It's worth a try at least.

Also; personally, I don't feel the RSS button is out of place. It's more common to place the archive navigation below the strip, but I think it works well where you put it.
